Llanberis

A long weekend in Llanberis, North Wales was in order to get away and try and get a few photos.

Here are some I managed to get, 1st couple of shots are of a Jackdaw and the final 2 shots are a female Goosander.

Photos taken with a Nikon D70 + Sigma 170-500mm.

I managed to take a lot of shots of Magpies and also a Crow all in flight, for some reason my camera went funny showing an error one day and managed to wipe the memory card, so I'm a bit gutted, but gives me a good excuse to go back again.

Hope you like the shots.

  5. I would just faint if my camera erased my trip photos. What a bummer. I love these photos. I am glad you were able to save some.

  7. Llanberis has so many nice things to see...beautiful place. Sorry you lost your photos, how awful! Love those duck photos, especially the last one with the body all bent as it dives for food. By all means go back and take lots more photos :-) I had a non-nature photo in my other blog today that connects to Wales....a button from Portmeirion (The Village). Wales is such a beautiful place...I would love to go back there some day. Do you have photographs of the waterfall?

  9. Mike, these pictures are wonderful. How did you get these light and the details? A very good sharpness and wonderful contrast.
You should check the type of error mentioned by the camera. It happened to me once and it was a oil drop which was on the diaphragm for some reasons but it did not erase pictures from the card. I hope this is not too bad.
