Warton Crag

Just a quick post from a visit to Warton Crag yesterday, It is a great place for seeing butterflies, although someone should have told the butterflies because we didn't hardly see any.

We did see a few Speckled Wood and here's a shot of one that stayed long enough for me to do so.

The next photo is a shot across Morecambe Bay from near the crag, a great place for waders, but our timing was really bad as the tide was in right up to the car park.

It was a good day out, but bad as far as photos went and we wanted to go further up into the lake district, but the motorway was backed right up so gave up on that idea.

Mike.

  1. I go out some days and barely get to point the camera! At least you got the good speckled wood shot.

  2. One beautiful butterfly is worth seeing :-) and beautiful scenery as well. I sympathize about the busy motorway after just coming back from Seattle. Never would I want to deal with that sort of traffic all the time!

just wish I was into photography when I lived in wales. I only started on retirement in Luxor Egypt
