I recently visited a relatively new RSPB site not far from the river Ribble called Hesketh Out Marsh, probably the wrong time of year to see a great deal of birds, but one that I did see I have wanted to photograph for a while.
Although still quite far off this is the closest I have been to a Sky Lark.
The next two images where the best from the bunch and still heavily cropped, but for a first I am pleased with them.
Hesketh Out Marsh will definitely be one to visit during Autumn and into the colder months.
Finally a Juv. Blue tit from my garden and apart from Juv Coaltit, Bluetits are one of my favourites.
All photos taken with Nikon D70 + Sigma 170-500mm
I would love to say that I meant to take the Bluetit shot, but it was one of those nice surprises when the images came up on screen.
Hope you liked the shots.
Until next time.
Mike.
Always glad to see a new post by you! The Sky Lark is lovely and you got great photos of it. Sounds like a place you will enjoy going back to. The Bluetit juvenile is very cute.
ReplyDeleteLovely set Mike. That's closer than I've managed to get to a Skylark :)
