Macro in the garden

We had a strange bright light in the sky today, I believe it is called the sun.

So to make the most of it I grabbed my camera and headed for the garden, we have had a number of different butterfly on our buddleia (possibly the best £3 I have ever spent), but today it was Hover Fly and a few different species.

To keep things simple as they have the strangest of names here are the pics of Hover Fly I got.

I also go this Forest Bug which sat nicely on my window before flying off.

Finally another Hover Fly, thought I would save this until last, I just loved the way this came out apart from the head isn't in focus, it looks great.

All photos taken with Nikon D70 + Sigma 28-100mm + 10x macro adapter

Well hope you liked the pics.

Until next time.

Mike.

  7. I found your blog today through Mary's recommendation. You have wonderful photos. Your macro shots are absolutely stunning. I wish I could afford a camera & lens like that. But I do the best I can within my physical and financial limits. ;) And I enjoy doing it.
I look forward to watching your blog.
