On Friday my wife spotted a Siskin on the feeders, just the one so I didn't think much of it, but then Saturday we had anything between 4 and 10 on the feeders at any one time.
We haven't had Siskins for about 2 years now in these numbers and I hope they stick around for a few days more.
Here are the first couple of shots I got:
The other birds seen where Robin, Great & Blue Tit, Chaffinch, Dunnock and Goldfinch shown below:
Blue Tits are always great for a nice pic:
I will be so glad when we get a bit of decent light, as you can tell from these shots its still pretty dull at the moment.
I have also booked a break to the Carngorms which I can't wait for as I am determined to see and photograph a Crested Tit.
Hope you like the pics.
Mike.
Your siskins are more colorful than ours! I haven't seen any this winter. Always love that Gold finch and the Blue Tit. Great shots, Mike!
ReplyDeleteWe are also glad when you get decent light cause then we can enjoy your pictures ;-) Nice to see siskins at your feeders. I've only seen it once over here and never managed to find one in France ;-) I envy these nice shots of the tits and goldfinch.. Well done Mike!
ReplyDeleteGreat serie, wonderfull images, the blue tit is my favorite ;)
ReplyDeleteLovely series Mike.
ReplyDeleteThat second Goldfinch is a cracker.
Nice series from the garden Mike. We have one female Siskin visiting sporadically but not close enough for such a clear shot as yours.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys most appreciated.
