Martin Mere

My local patch or local WWT, I've been going there for a few years now and it never fails to amaze me, from the breeding birds in spring to the migrant in Autumn.

I can spend hours just sitting there listening to all the sounds. For me its the total switch off, whilst looking at all the different species of birds or walking from hide to hide nothing else enters your mind.

Over time I have taken hundreds if not thousands of photos, but here are a couple of my favourites.

  1. Mike, lovely peaceful shots. I can see why you enjoy going there. It's the sounds of nature that make it really come alive though isn't it :-D

  2. Ohhhhhh so beautiful. I can see that I will have to keep my Birds of Britain and Europe on my desk now. No wonder you like to go here. It is wonderful.
