Grey Day

As you may know the weathers been really terrible and Sunday morning wasn't much better.

Martin Mere was pretty dismal, overcast and still dark until around 10.30am.

There wasn't a great deal going on, after scanning around with the binoculars there wasn't a single wader in sight. There was a buzzard sitting on a fence post quite far away and the whooper swans & greylag geese where coming and going to the local fields.

Despite the weather and my hands freezing cold I managed to get a couple of shots:


And not strictly wild but I couldn't resist this Manderin duck, truly stunning bird.
