Well here's my last post for Bempton Cliffs.
We could see lots of Puffins flying off the cliffs and heading out to sea and I was starting to give up hope when I spotted one hovering along the edge of the cliff, so I knew they were landing nearby but I couldn't see them.
So I had no choice, I wasn't going to travel all that way and not take a photo of a Puffin. There is a small wire fence that is between the path and certain death which I was able to lean over and get a clear shot of them.
I hope you all like the shots.
All photos taken 24/05/2008 Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve.
Great photos Mike. Don't you dare risk your life for a photo though. I would hate to read an obit about you plummeting down a cliff side trying to capture a picture for your blog. We would miss so much more.
ReplyDeletePuffins are worth a little risk though. I love their little clown faces.
How good of you to risk your life for the rest of us in the blogging world! (crazy person!) We're glad you did because the photos are great! It is such a strange bird...I can understand why you would not leave without photos!
ReplyDeleteFantastic, Mike! I love these little birds and one of these days I want go to Maine and see them. Until then, I'm glad you shared them. They're wonderful. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi All, thanks for your comments, I'm glad I was able to get shots of the Puffins and you all liked them, cheers :)
ReplyDeleteI love all the shots! They are absolutely beautiful! Isn't a Puffin just such a fascinating looking bird? Great job. This is the one bird that I MUST see one day and get a photo of.
