Dunnock Afternoon

I was just sat in the garden yesterday afternoon, hoping that something would show up, when I got watching this Dunnock.

At first I thought it was a mouse rummaging through all the bushes around my little pond, then when it came in full view I could tell what it was.

He seems to be around a lot at the moment and was not bothered by me at all. Hope you like the shots.

  3. Great photos , Mike :-D

I thought you'd still be away. Hope you had a good trip and the weather was kind to you!

It is a wonderfully sunny and warm day here today - I'm heading into the garden this afternoon. Hope it's nice with you too :-D

You really have captured the character of the dunnock so well. I love to see it run around my garden too.

I know what you mean about it being like a mouse. However, the juveniles are yet to behave like that in my garden and are mixing with all the birds including the woodpigeons!

  6. Delightful! I'm not familiar with this bird. (I'm from the U.S. Maybe that's why?) You have captured him beautifully

  7. How surprising, and interesting, that this little bird has brown eyes to match the brown on its feathers. Very nice I think.
