I don't usually see many butterflies in my garden because in the past I haven't really had anything to attract them, but the Buddleia has really paid its dues and money well spent if you ask me, I can see a few more being planted next year.
Here's a few pics I got, It was really lucky when the Bee landed underneath the Peacock, made for a nice shot.
Photos taken with Nikon D70 + Sigma 170-500mm.So far in the last couple of months we have had a Large White, Peacock, Speckled Wood and Comma, not too bad, but maybe more next year when my Buddleia as really taken root.

ReplyDeleteNice photos. And yes, the butterfly bushes are very good at attracting the whole raft of butterflies and also bees of all kinds and hummingbirds. The original color of these bushes are the most productive though.
