Being really low in the sky still isn't the best but can sometimes like today give a really nice golden light.
I managed to get a few shots of my garden visitors before it started to go dull again.
Here are the shots I managed. First shot is a Bluetit.
Secondly a Goldfinch.
And finally a Nuthatch, we have had a pair coming and going all day.
All photos taken with a Nikon D70 + Sigma 170-500mm
Nothing like the numbers of birds visiting which we have had in previous years, but theres still plenty of time.
Still no sightings of Waxwings locally :(
Mike.
I had a go at photographing Blue Tits toady Mike, didn't turn out as well as yours did though. :-)
ReplyDeleteSome excellent shots there Mike. Really like that Blue Tit.
ReplyDeleteHi Mike,
ReplyDeleteWow man you did not get too many shots but these are splendid! I'd like to get some like this nowadays, but the weather is terrible around here, no snow but a lot of rain! I love the blue tit picture a lot, not so easy to do!
They are fantastic pictures. It is nice to be back, photographing, while it lasts.
ReplyDeleteThanks Guys,
ReplyDeleteWarren, I am very close tho and like you said in your post it is dull so much. :(
Cheers Chris I got loads of pics I have only kept about 8, the beauty of digital :)

Outstanding Mike,brill photography.

Wonderful shots Mike, it really does go to show how lighting just makes a shot. With us it’s morning light (a very short time slot) on a coral barked tree that draws me outside as it did yesterday. I was photographing the blue tits too :-D
ReplyDeleteLovely! You do know how to do things with light that I can't even imagine. My homebirds are always in bad light....close to the house on the north side....which can get frustrating.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots Mike...like the Blue Tit.
ReplyDeleteWow, these are wonderful! Love the lighting and colors of the backgrounds. Man, I've missed your photos.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and so glad I did, gorgeous photos.
