Here are a few shots of the variety of wildlife and birds that you get around the Dumfries & Galloways area, most of the birds where taken around the camp site where we stayed.
1). Linnet, 2). Rabbit, 3). Whitethroat, 4). Jackdaw, 5). Chaffinch, 6). Sparrow.
Hope you like them.
Oh Mike... great shots :-D
ReplyDeleteThese are all excellent shots however without a doubt my favourite is the Jackdaw! You have completely captured the character of this bird.
I see this bird in fleeting visits to my garden (in Scotland) deftly picking out the few peanuts I scatter over the sunflower hearts on a very small feeder. It is completely oversized for the feeder too!
I also see this bird taking the softer nesting material I put out for the blue tits nesting in my garden. I say taking I should say helping itself to the lot! I have watched it stuff it and other material into my neighbour’s chimney - two of them!
However, I have never captured photo or video of it yet. This is why I particularly enjoyed your photos :-D
Is the best you are keeping until last - Buzzards? Oh... is it the Osprey? :-D
Love the pictures Mike. The Jackdaw looks a lot like a crow. I think it is funny how rabbits look about the same all over the world. Some ears are longer, size can vary but overall they look a lot alike.
ReplyDeleteHi Shirl, I'm quite fond of Jackdaws there one of a few birds you don't need to look up to see what it is when you hear them and the blue eye is amazing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa.
I almost missed part 2! That must have been a great place to stay. The eye on that Jackdaw is really startling....sort of creepy. Great photos as always!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot! The bunny is so cute! All the birds are wonderful, but the jackdaw's eye is really striking.
