Last year we had approx 5 young Coal tits around the feeders and the garden, this year sadly this is the only one I have seen so far.

Whilst in wait I couldn't resist photographing the other birds that where around, the following shots are a selection of finches.1st is a Goldfinch, 2nd Greenfinch and finally a Chaffinch.
I think I will try to get out again so I can post a bit more variety. so I don't get too repetitive.All photos taken 22/06/2008.

ReplyDeleteYour Coal Tit looks a lot like our Carolina Chickadee. They are probably of the same family. It sounds like their behavior is the same too.

Of course we like the pictures! How cute he is! It reminds me of our chickadees, like Lisa says. The other 3 are pretty, too. You have such colorful birds right now and I'm having a very dull summer bird-wise. Wonderful photos!
