More Whoopers

Here are a few more shots from yesterday, I was really surprised with the first shot of a young Whooper when I got home, I have only cropped this a little no other edits have been done.

If you where wondering about the dots on the last shot these where geese in the distance.

Hope you liked the shots.

All photos taken with a Nikon D70 + Sigma 170-500mm.

  1. This is one swan that is very rare here. I have never seen it. I would love to see it as well as your photos show it. WOW...

  4. These are great! I love the water behind the first shot and how its ripples of blue and silver set off the portrait...very beautiful! And the drops of water in the second one from the beak...wow. Wonderful shots!

  7. Nice swam series. One of my photo target species is swans. Love to watch them putting down the landing gear and hear them calling when coming in.
