Daily visitors

Actually had some good weather for a change, the sun was out all morning and well into the afternoon, late afternoon isn't great for photographing birds in my garden as the sun shines straight through the trees and all you get is a silhouette.

The birds that usually visit my garden have been out in force today, here is a list of what we had: Goldfinch(12), Greenfinch(3), Coaltit(3), Starlings(8), Great Tit(4), Bluetit(6), Collared Dove(3), GS Woodpecker(1), Robin(1), Dunnock(1), Blackbird(2), Chaffinch(2) and a couple of Grey Squirrels.

And they where all pretty much coming and going at the same time, I wish I had filmed them like Shirl does, but not sure I would do them the same justice.

Here are a couple of pictures I got this morning.

All photos taken with Nikon D70 + Sigma 170-500mm.

  1. Handsome Coal Tit. This squirrel looks a lot like our squirrels.

  2. Hi there, Mike :-)

Great shots of the Great Tit - I think it looks really striking in the garden.

Grey squirrels - funny I should see photos in your post as I noticed one running around the ground in my garden today. I'll have to try to catch it on video :-D

Thanks for the mention of my videos and the link on your post. I am delighted that I have yours to link to for photos of birds and wildlife :-D
