The following shots where taken from the Janet Keir hide this afternoon, although there was plenty about Reed Bunting, Green & Gold finches, and Blue & Great Tits, this Robin was the one that decided to pose for me for a few minutes before flying off again.
I have a few more Robin shots HERE.
After the Robin I was watching a Wren running along the floor, before it too fly off, then I saw something else out of the corner of my eye, I thought at first the Wren had come back.
Then it appeared again, I think its a Water Vole, it was very fast and kept coming out and eating the seeds the birds had knocked onto the floor.
I hope you like the pics

These are really great shots, Mike. That bird is awesomely beautiful and that little vole (or whatever it is), is precious. So cute! Wonderful photos.
ReplyDeleteYou take the BEST bird photos!!
ReplyDeleteYour little Robin is sweet. I like seeing the vole too. It looks much like a mouse. There is some type of vole that feeds under feeders here too but getting a picture of it would be next to impossible. You got some great shots.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful little Robin and it is different looking from our American Robins. It has beautiful colour! Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful robin...I like that the face matches the breast unlike our robin. The color is great and your pictures of it really good! The vole is very cute...looks like a character for a children's book.
ReplyDeleteLove em!! Wow, such clarity and beautiful color!
