Just thought I would add a quick post as I haven't really had chance to do much lately, its that time of year when other things have to come first, mainly shopping.
Heres a couple of shots I managed on the weekend of a Great Tit, hope you like.
Photos raken with Nikon D70 + Sigma 170-500mm
They are so cute! Great detail in the last one!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Klaus
The Great Tit looks so blue in the first photo. Was it the lighting or is it blueish? I had never noticed the stripe down its belly before. It stands out in this photo.
ReplyDeleteNice shots. This is a lot like or black capped chickadee.
ReplyDeleteBoth are lovely! I never get tired of seeing them.
ReplyDeleteHi Mike- What a cool bird. Like Abe, I'm amazed how similar yet different the birds are across the pond. Our chickadees are very similar to your tits. And in the U.S., we can't say the word "tit" on T.V. It refers to something completely different!

Fantastic Catch. Its always challenging to get a bird that got a combination of black and white colors. You have done really well and the bokeh is awesome as well.
ReplyDeleteThey're wonderful. Yes, I like them a lot. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt does look rather blue-ish actually. Must have been some weird lighting Mike.
ReplyDeleteIts a gorgeous bird though, and I remember them very well. Nicely done.
Our Chickadees here resemble your Coal Tits a lot more. than Great Tits I think.
Like your photo blog, great images.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteThe second one is wonderful!!! The bokeh os this one is amazing and the colors are really good... Good job there.. We do not have them in Iceland but I tried to take them in France and there are hard to get...
Mike : This is an awesome capture, the first image is a fabulous composition as well...Thomas
ReplyDeleteThese are great pictures and they look very much like our Black-capped Chickadees which we see out our windows at our feeder each day. The black-capped Chickadee is the provincal bird of our province.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos!
